125 Gallon Main Tank with 3" Deep Sand Bed
30 Gallon "long" sump tank

- Kent custom topoff system:
1) Kent Float Valve with "shut-off kit" is plumbed into a 6 gallon bucket top create "reserve RO water"
2) 2nd Kent Float valve operates mercury switch which will pump "Reserve RO water" slowly into sump
- Turbofloater skimmer
- Custom Calcium Reactor
- PinPoint pH Probe in sump
- Custom Temperature monitor system:
1) Digital Temp Probe in tank
2) Second Temp Probe was spliced into Radio Shack Multimeter with PC sync capability
3) Multimeter feeds resistance values into computer, creating a text file
4) resistivity is converted to temp by creation of "calibration curve" which relates resistance to Temp
5) Results can be plotted!
- Lighting:
1) Dual 400W 6500 Kelvin Iwasaki Metal Halides
2) Dual 110W VHO Actinic
3) Total 1020W Lighting
- 300W Heater in Sump

Main purpose: SPS Propagation

Hey there,

This Darrell I love your tank so nice. I can't wait til my tank looks like that i mean i have pleanty of Corals but i have a 135 gal tank and it is not nearly packed yet have room for 100 more corals hehe lol well anyways awsome tank and i have not fraged that leather coral yet but i will.

yeah, some people give me grief because it is not as meticulous with not having algae and everything being in just the right spot but I definitely go more for the "natural feel" -- I mean, if something falls and it will do OK in its new spot, let it be!! Although with the SPS corals I am a bit more stringent on their being as close to the water surface (and lighting) as possible!!
