After a few false starts my office tank is up and running. I really wanted a specific look for this tank, sort of a terraced rockwork that will provide a good base for the corals that will be in there (mostly sps and a few choice zoas).

Anyway, the tank is running pretty much stock right now, except for 2 koralia nanos. I ditched the wavemaker on the returns to get more flow, and am going to throw a couple of hydor-flo's on the returns when i get around to it.

The only issue right now is getting my chiller hooked up. i've been having a hell of a time fitting a maxijet 1200 in the rear. I think i found the solution by hacking away the bottom compartment of the media basket. I wont know until tomorrow though as I need some hose clamps before I am going to start running it.

The tank has just been running for about a week and hopefully stabilizing (I haven't even bothered testing yet.) I am going to start adding critters in a week or so, and the fish will follow in a couple weeks after that. In the meantime I am getting asked 20 times a day why I have a tank full of rocks in the office ;)

Planned inhabitants are...

1. a pair of clowns to keep the secretary happy.
2. a yasha haze goby and pistol shrimp (maybe...i like cleaner shrimp and im not sure that everybody will get along in this small a tank) or a jawfish
3. a pair of neon gobies (big maybe, as i have a feeling 3 fish is the realistic limit unless i want to get much more dilligent with my water changes)
4. a cleaner shrimp
5. crabs and critters and snails (oh my!)

ok, enough blabbing, here are the pics so far...
