How does everyone like there 10g or 20g+ Nanos?? I am about to set one up and curious if its worth maybe going for a 24g instead...I already have the 10g thats why im not to gun ho on buying another tank ...I also have a 29 bow (which was curious if i could get away with running a power filter vs a sump/wetdry....:scratch:

Anyway lets see some pics and post opinions as well what you like and dont like..it would help me out in my quest for a nice nano!! :teeth:

I have a standard 29g at home. I love it. You could get away with a power filter. But unless its a fuge it really won't have the same filtering capabilities such as pod production, nitrate export, and a larger volume of water for the nano in habitants. Sumps alone to me are for fish only tanks unless its a sump built into a fuge then that's a different story. Ill post a pic later.

I'm leaning more towards the smaller tank with a penguin mini power filter...LR and LS as my media, ...Think this will do? Will also have about 96wts total light on the tank as well ...

I also have a biowheel made for a 55g and a Skilter/Filter which could be used a small skimmer lol ...

Here is my idea::D

10g All Glass Tank
PowerFilter (Penguin Mini, Biowheel, Skilter etc..)
LR -Approx 10-15lbs worth
LS -Approx 1-1.5" worth
PC Fixture -96watts total
Possibly small powerhead for more circulation

Looking to do a simple setup...

sounds like it could work. buy a aquaclear they are large and can be turned into a refuge i had a link from RC that showed a diy fuge from one of those. it was awsome.

in small tanks its better to do frequent small water changes. my nanocube 12dx at home has been going strong for almost 3 yrs. water change is 1 gallon every week. thats it. no skimmer or any other equipment
