150DE on 24''x24'' tank

Do you think it will work? I am setting up a mixed reef and want to reduce coned bills?

SPS will be top 1/3 of the tank and will keep monti cap in the bottom and soft corals.

Do you think 150 will be enough or should I go with 250?

i run a 175 on my 50 cube (24x24) and have no problems...

I think you would be better with 250w, especially if you want to go with a blueish bulb.

I would personally go with the 250 watt mh. But that being said there are many ways to get more punch out of lighting systems. For example you cannot compare a current orbit fixture with a 250 mh to a lumenbright pendant driven with coralvue ballasts and reeflux 10k or 12k bulb. It is a complete and utter shock to see the difference in par values of the 2.
