I have 2-Remora Pro Protein Skimmers with Mag Pump, Not sure which ones as the labels have wore away, partly from the fish eating the algae off of them and partly from just time being in the water. I think one is a Mag 3 and the other a Mag 5, not sure but it is larger and both pump will run the skimmer very well. This is a hang-on type of skimmer, though you can also use it sump if you want.
Skimmer Spec:
22" tall x 7-1/2" wide x 3-1/4" deep - Minimum tank opening 6-1/2" x 1"
- Minimum tank height 15-1/4"
- Minimum space behind tank 3-1/4"
- Maximum tank lip 1-1/2" wide
- Vertical clearance above tank 12"
- Draining built into the cup
- Runs with a Rio 1400 or Mag Drive 3 pump
- Rated for tanks up to 120 gallons
These just came off of my tank, had been running for many many years and probably needs a good cleaning, better than what I did. One of the skimmer cup had a crack in it on the top, which I bonded and it doesn't leak, nor does it affect the operating of the skimmer.
They're $50 each.
