24" PC for 36" aquarium ???

I was wondering if I put a 24" 110w PC on my 35g reef tank that is 36" long, would that be OK?
because that means thre would be 6" on each side where no light is covering.
I think I would be ok but I just wanted to check before I order it.

i have 24 inch pc on my 37 which leaves 3 inches on each side and it does well just locate more light demanding corals to center of tank and leave ends for shrooms and such

I keep a 16" on my 37 I just keep all of the corals close to the middle.
