Help!

My normal water change is 15-20 gal twice a week.
My procedure is fill my 44 gal brut with RODI on one day
Next day heat up water.
Next add salt.
All the time mixing with pumps.

Then I'm set for the week, 15-20 gal change on Wednesday and 15-20 on Sunday.
Sometimes I switch it up depending on my schedule(Tuesday /Saturday )

I usually clean/rinse out the Brut with vinegar and water every two salt mixes, so about every two weeks.

The problem:

I decided to fill my Brut with RODI and check it with a handheld tds meter the very next day!
It was reading 3ppm! ok I can deal with that but the next day I checked it again and it is at14 ppm.
This I'm not ok with.

Suggestions?
What are you guys storing your water in?
Are you mixing as needed?
I like having mixed salt water ready on hand just incase of emergency.

I have a 55 gallon container that is specifically rated for liquids (water and food grade) if I'm not mistaken. I'll post a photo as soon as I can. Hope this helps.

i have a brute container as well and RO water goes in at 0 tds but once in the bucket the tds jumps, i believe it is just residue nothing is actually polluting the water. i found this out about a year ago still using the same pale and everything is fine. i wouldn't worry about it.
