Have to ask, how did you like the bio reactor? Did you have a reef? Or just low amount of live rock?

Honestly, I have no clue. I have fowler. The theory behind it is good. Built great. Used it on my 265 for about six months, two years ago. I was hoping it would help with nitrates, but didnt really. Its big and bulky and took up alot of space. So I removed it and its been in my shed for over a year. Tried selling it, nobody is interested. Not alot of people use these. So I just set up a 400 gallon in my garage with some heavy hitters in there. Lots of room in the garage. So actually this weekend I plumbed it in and will give it a whirl. I should remove the items in the post.

What i do know is bashsea claims these are 100% maintenence free. They are not. **** clogs the holes that spills the water into the chamber and microfilm still covers the chamber sides. Also the air pump they suggest isn't strong enough to push the media like it should. I upgraded to a alita 6a pump and I had alot more circulation. And you need these higher than your sump cause if not the back pressure when your pump is off will have water spit through the airports on the lid and the hole on top of the the return pipe as you can see on the picture. I figure give it a try for a few months. I feed alot, so I im sure it won't hurt anything. Would i recommend one? Not worth the price.
