I know it's not the same tank but I have a cube too. 60gal.
And I use 2 mp10's.
I actually traded my mp40 for 2.
I would like to think its better all around tank flow.

I has my mp40 turned halfway and it rocked! Almost too well.

But 2 mp10's halfway have all around random flow. Coral seems very happy.

Thanx

Ray, the MP10's are designed to max out at 3/8" glass. It is not safe to run them on 1/2" glass. The magnets can separate and the dry side can crash to the floor or even slam into the tank itself. I HIGHLY RECOMMEND going with the MP40.

As for how many MP40's? That's easy. Buy one, put it through its paces, test it out and if you find it is insufficient (I doubt it), buy another one. Always cheaper to buy less and add more (of anything) if necessary.

i would go with 2 of whatever because itll have better random flow, ive heard of plenty of people who have had success with mp10s on 1/2" glass and a few who have had issues....if you line them up perfectly i doubt it would be an issue...also i found my mp10 holds better if rotated to a specific spot as well
