Ladies and gentlemen please, we ask a few favors of you when posting.
First and foremost please make sure you are posting in the correct forum. There are numerous specific forums here like Equipment, Lighting, Beginners, Identification, SPS, LPS, Tank Threads etc. We ask that you use these forums so the members here can find topics easily.
Please use the search function if you have a question. Many questions (not all) have been asked and answered before and the site has a great history of answers in the forums. You may be surprised with what you will uncover. If the regular search doesn't work try the advanced search. It is very useful.
If you are selling something or looking to buy something please make sure you put the item in the correct forums. The For Sale forum is for anything Saltwater and Reef. If it is a Freshwater or other non aquarium item please start the thread in the Non Reef Sales forum. If you are looking for a reef related or slatwater service or an item the Want To Buy forum is where you want to post
Please if you have multiple items for sale combine the threads and only one bump per day (24 hr period). It is only fair for everyone to have a spot at the top of the for sale forum and by having multiple bumps (from you or anyone else) or multiple threads this takes away from your fellow reefers chance to sell their items. This also helps you sell your items easier because it is easier for you to keep track of your for sale items status in one thread instead of having to hunt them down.
And when your items have sold let us know and we will happily close them to avoind the potential of it resurfacing 3 or 4 years later with a question on the availability of the item or items. Funny though it may be it just doesn't help keep the site organized and usually goes way off topic.
The vendor forums are for the vendors to sell their products and also to provide information to reefers that they think is important or useful. Please respect their forum and keep in mind that the vendors moderate their forums. If a moderation issue is found they can handle it. Please work with them on these issues. In an emergency please contact a moderator.
The reefer ratings are a valuable asset to this community. If you have any kind of transaction with a member here whether good, bad or neutral please leave the appropriate feedback so that the membership can research the history of the member in one place instead of searching all over for information about another member. No public bashing threads. If there is an issue leave a reefer rating or handle it via PM.
Finally We want you to explore te site and use all of it's features. For example the frag tracking system is a great thing that was added to the site and is an awesome way to display and sell/trade your frags. Take some time to look around and see what is new on the site and also feel free to check out reefs.com for more reef information and some great articles.
