a few questions

ive had my tank for a few months now.. no fish deaths, ive had a few zoas die, for un known reasons. i have tom aquairum product rapid pro works mildly well. i had problems with bubbles i think i want to get a filter, or maybe just use a skimmer any ideas??..

doesnt the toms have a built in skimmer ? do you have a sump ? or do you want a hob skimmer ? if a hob i would get a remora

I here all this great stuff about the remora, yet my remora has not skimmed more then the emergency seaclone I had on my 20g in I can't remember how many months now.

Yes, I cleaned the injector, cleaned the pump, CK made me a preskimmer box.etc................. I've had this stupid thing going since September with nothing, maybe 1/16 of weak tea.

mine didnt pull a ton of stuff out, but it pulled dark, i used it in sump though and had a longer hose on it. took me over 2 weeks to fill cup. but was dead silent. what pump you using ?

I would take the skimmer and soak it in some vinegar for a few days pump and all. Then rinse it real well then see how it works, It worked great on my 55 and my AP24. I just got tired of the hang on back with the AP24, felt it was too much weight hanging on the back so I switched to the tunze doc 9002.

Chief, that was the first thing I did when I got! It was pretty dirty, so I soaked it for a few days. Then I was told to clean the injector, did that, then I was told to adjust the cup I did that as well. I just don't understand what is going on. I can see the bubbles when I take the cup out, and look down into it, but I don't get anything close to this;

What the heck am I doing wrong? I don't think my tank is that clean, especially since I purposely have not changed the water in several months to see what would happen. Still nothing.

LOL its ok, yes my filter does hav a skimmer works awsome, but it makes mirco bubbles not alot but a few and its *****, im having bad luck with zoas,,,i got a pink and mean green die off, i hav another pink and blue left and they havent grown much.
