A read for anyone interested in preservation....

I've just finished reading a book that highlights the concerns, the attributes that work, and those that don't in regards to protecting the ocean and its resources. If you have any interest at all in such things, I highly suggest the read. Of course, its not unbiased (the author works for a group that is pushing for these things) but it is a great way to see both sides of an issue.

Halting all collection is not good. Allowing unrestricted collection is not good. This helps bring it into focus.

It is well worth the read, especially for people with a rigid idea of right and wrong.

Actually, I would like to see that people are making an effort to move outside of their own little boxes, however, I did not truly expect much response.

I will say again that its a great book for making you think about a balance in the way management and preservation are achieved.

No, although I haven't looked. I heard about it on NPR when Fujita gave a short interview and I went and found the book later.

We still don't get it.
Whats the gist of the book?
I have a half dozen or so I think everyone should read as well like Paul Erhlichs Betrayal of Science and Reason..or Ayn Rands Atlas Shrugged, but I would not recommend it so cryptically.
Please. In your own words, enlighten us!
