I have set up a 20 gallon for about 2 months now, only temporarily before I get my 46 gallon up and running. I have about 3 pieces of live rock, with a mushroom, kenya growing on one of them. I also have a clown and a tang in there with my remora pro running. Water parameters are decent, with low nitrates... salinity could be a lil better though.

So, to my surprise, I come home today and see a really small starfish in the tank and I have no idea how it got there. The only cause I thought of was the rocks, but I've had these rocks for a while (taken from my 26 gallon that I gave away), but I don't see how this is possible.

I want to keep it alive, but I have no idea on how to feed it, and the clown is trying to chomp at it... any ideas on how this got there, and how I should take care of it? Thanks!

You don't have to do anything to take care of an asterina star fish.;)
But your in trouble! Tang police are coming for you. What kind of tang do you have?

lol. Yes, I'm guilty. It's a blue hippo tang. I got it last year when it was tiny, and it's gotten big enough that I will have to give it away soon. Feel bad, I love the little sucker.

That's good to hear about the starfish. it just surprised the heck out of me though when I saw it.
