How do Acoropora feed. I know some get some energy from light, but what other foods does it require and how can you tell if it is eating????

Many have acrop tank without any direct feeding. It can grab things, such as bacteria, etc., without you doing anything special.

They do get considerable amount of nutrient from non-photosynthesis, but IMHO, there is little difference between reefer who feed the acrop, and those who don't. Obviously, some coral does not have the ability to photosynthesize, but these are not recommanded even for the seansoned reefers.

I agree with 7E. Acro's get the vast majority of their energy from light. They will filter feed on things in your aquarium, but there is no reason to supplement with any liquid food or anything.
