I am super bummed. A coral that I picked up at Reef a Palooza this year plus two other SPS corals got RTN and died in the last week. I suspect it was from alkalinity fluctuations. I've been so busy that I haven't been testing and dosing as regularly as I should. I'm bringing the Alk back up slow, and I hope I don't lose anything else.
However, now my poor little acro crab is homeless. Will he find another acropora to host or is he done for? Any way I can encourage him to leave the dead coral and take residence elsewhere in the tank?
Once I get things back in order, I'll be looking to replace the GARF bonsai and A. Sarmentosa colonies I lost. PM me if you know someone who'd be willing to sell a mini colony.
Any advice on the acro crab is greatly appreciated.
