acrylic tank question

wanted to know if this was doable ...was thinking of buying a 10ftx4ftx2ft tank and cutting the tank down from 4ft to 30 or 36 inches deep and regluing the front panel...is this able to be done or is it a waste of time...please anyone who knows acrylic please let me know and if you know anyone who would do it or can i do it myself...need to know asap before the tank gets sold to someone else...o and the tank is brand new never bin used.....thanks guys brian

That is next to impossible. You won't get a straight cut and so will have gaps when regluing it. I don't know this for certainty but pretty sure.

Acrylic tank is expensive. I would not buy and cut it like you said.
Unless you are a professional acrylic tank builder, i would advise not to do so.

Not sure of your skill level but your're going to need some serious workshop with a very level workplace. I personally would only attempt this if the tank was going into a wetroom and a blowout wouldnt cause massive damage to my house.
