Yes it is. IF you are very meticulous and careful when you clean the front pane and don't let rocks touch, etc. perhaps you can avoid scratches. Coralline is a pain to clean too as you really can't use razor blade and the plastic blades in my experience are pretty poor substitutes. Personally, unless there is a compelling reason to do so ( you are building it yourself, you live in an earthquake zone, you need a custom size, someone is giving it to you etc.) I can't recommend choosing acrylic. All four acrylic tanks I had eventually became sumps of some sort because I got tired of looking at the scratches. I don't think I have seen an acrylic reef tank without scratches.
