actinics cause cyanobacteria?

having some cyanobacteria problems water is good was running mh 8 hours and actinics for 10 hours.got more flow to the areas and running the mh for 5 hours now but still running the actinics for 10 hours still .does this add to the problem should i cut down from 10 hours?

is this a new tank? i wouldnt worry about your actinics
cyanobacteria is fueled from these sources below:
po4
no3
lighting
dead spots

from your specs if reliable, i suspect your and bio load n po4 is high and dead spots.
clean up crew b need to b increase too.

How old are the bulbs.That a factor.There are other factors as well.How often do you feed your fish,do you use ro water and how old is the membrane etc...You need to narrow it down.Process of elimination.

Cyanobacteria equals low flow (or dead spots), and excess nutrients. Lighting is rarely the root cause of algae problems.

cut down lights and added flow last night going to give a good cleaning this week end thanks for the help
