Activated Carbon in my new tank

Hi All,

I received an Oceanic biocube for christmas and I recently purchased the Rowa crystal premium carbon poi= 1,3. The container doesn't say how much carbon to put in the mesh bag. I have about a 14 gallon tank. Anyone know how much carbon to put and how long to leave it in the filter for?

I always fill half the bag cause it is going to expand any way

I ususally fill up the media bag with carbon and change it monthly. Remember to rinse the carbon in tank water or RODI water before you put it into your tank to keep the fresh carbon from temprarily clouding the water.

is hard to put a skimmer in the biocube, even if you can find one, it won't work well, than you must use the carbon once every two weeks, leave it in for 2-3 days than take it out, high grade carbon don't just absorb impurities/toxin, it also absorbs nutrients as well.

you could mod the bio cube but it is going to be hard, but just add 2 bags of carbon to make sure you could rn a reactor if you did mod the tank that would help out alot
