Here's a dumb idea: what if hobbyists adopted a collection area and the collectors?

I must be related to Polly-Anna...

MAC has just such a sponsorship program. It's called "Adopt a Reef". The object is to donate enogh money to sponsor all of the expenses necessary to bring a village (and their reefs) to MAC Certification. I heard that there is a matching of funds partner associated with this donation.

John,

No offense, but I personally could not support this unless MAC releases information regarding the resource assessments and management plans put into place.

As long as MAC hides behind the 'we are just a standards writing body, we can't share anything' argument, they do not warrant our support in this, IMO.

Give me transparency, I would be the first to donate to the cause.

Regards.
