Advice for the novice beginner

From one Novice to another...

Never think its a bright idea to put fish in your tank, dive out rocks and put them in your tank....your fish DIE!

If there is anyone who could possibly assist me with basic Do's and Dont's it would be greatly appreciated.

Also check the library and/or do a search for recommended beginner books, and of course specific questions here in the forums are always welcome...
