AL0HA'S! 29 gal Reef Tank! sorta...

hey everybody, so i am officially starting my reef tank. all along i've been keeping a 10 gallon fowlr and im going to transfer the livestock from there once its fully cycled. so here it is so far, i just set it up
-i have about 60 lbs of live sand i bought from BikiniSalt
-30lbs of live rock also from BikiniSalt
-25 lbs of marco rocks
im still in search of some coralline covered pieces to seed my marco rocks so if anybody has, please PM me
-im running a 10 gallon sump underneath with an overflow box, the return pump is a maxi jet 1200
-lighting right now is 48 watts of T5 one actinic and one daylight 10K which im going to upgrade to HQI soon, once i get my paycheck :duh:
oh yeah, and a koralia 3
-i have a remora pro powered by a maxi jet 900 but im not running that yet, which i've read from some threads that during cycling, the skimmer shouldnt be running

so thats about it right now, will post more progress pics

those baffles look super high. is there enough room for extra water incase of power outage?

lol those are crack esp with the rubber band but im more into the old gen 1 sbs

lol i had my friend in boston try to get them for me, she was # 205 in line and they only had 200...i got stickers and posters instead. lol..back to the reef...a lil crooked is fine but u can also redo it.. are you gonna make a fuge?

You might want to scoop that carbon (?) out of the sump before it gets stuck in your pump & kills it

btw..the lights shouldn't be on yet - maybe you only turned them on for the pics?

yeah i turned the lights on for a better picture, they;re off now and now the wait is killing me already, another 2 months to go! :irked:

About time your back on Andrew. Nice Aquascaping. I have some Coraline covered rock, but will see how long it lasts till I get my new tank. I'll trade stuff with you at school if Needed. Looks like you need some type of Xenia in there
