algae blenny & sps?

can they co-exist? Ive seen it alot but live aquaria says they will nip @ sps,has anyone had this experience?

i have a 3" lawnmo n he just like to put his chin on my clam. don't seem to bother the clam. sometime he even lays on the mantle. the clam got use to it. lol. i never seen it bother any acros,caps,poc,birdsn,millis,& hynos. i've seen some bennies that likes to mown on the clam shell when it finds algea on it.

cool I really like these fish and have heard great things about there cleaning abilities, but I didnt think it was worth it if I lost corals.......

Algae Blennies nip at anything with algae on it. But I dont think they damage SPS just clean off the algae.

Well, my algae blenny has stopped eating algae. :letitallo Now that he's learned to eat the food I feed my other fish. He lazily waits around for me to feed the tank and then joins in on the frenzy :eat: He even takes flake food right off the water surface :banghead:

But back to topic, your corals will be safe.

:biglaugh: thats 1 lazy benny. i would give him a verbal warning then write up and if he still slacks off, send him packin.

Mine is great, but can be a bulldozer instead of a lawnmower at times
