So Im going to home grow my own cultures of phytoplankton to feed my clams. Ive already read melevs site and found it very useful. Does anyone on here do this and if so I have a few questions.
What is the best culture to use for clams/corals(that may benefit from phyto) and where is the best place to get cultures. I found one site that charges 145 bucks for a starter. Any advice welcome.

Where the heck was the $145 package  it costs less than $10 for algae culture disks from Florida Aqua Cultures (link below).

I've used their products with great sucess. Also, an 'oldie but goodie' article by Frank Marini from AAq mag on culturing that desribes the various types of algae you can culture. Size is a factor, but I haven't a clue as to what size would be best for clams. Perhaps someone else here knows and will chime in.

Also, there is a huge thread on different cultures (also by F. Marini and others) at RC that may be helpful.
