I've been battling a similar issue. I have a high bioload too. I'm hoping that the addition of an MP 40 will help by increasing the overall flow in my tank. What is "special blend"?

so far so good, Algea is down in the lower tanks where it started, upstairs its still there but not progressing. I did one app of SB, I will take some updated picts. But now I have to get the plows on all the trucks and Im not in the mood for snow at all

I think it is a additive you put in your tank to assist your reef tank with these kinds of issues currently being discussed. Please correct me if I am mistaken as I am new to this hobby myself. I found some info from the company website.
