We have noticed recently that many of the For Sale/For Trade threads are beginning to look like discussion threads.
That is not the intent of these threads, they are for selling & buying and we?d appreciate it we could limit the amount of chit-chat going on there. It is disappointing and annoying to many members to click on a For Sale thread with 35 posts to see what all the excitement is about, only to find that only 2 of the posts pertain to the thread and the remainder are a discussion of what type of car someone drives.
If you have a valid reason to be posting on the thread such as?an offer to buy or have a particular question about an item such as asking for a picture, then great, have at it! Praise about the item being sold is not necessary, nor is validation of what a great guy/gal the seller is. We have a Reefer Ratings system for people to learn about the quality of the items a seller posts, or to find out how easy he/she is to deal with.
Again we?d like to remind you that only ONE bump per day is permitted in For Sale/For Trade (and the Want to Buy Forum as well!) ? per the SITE RULES. If your best buddy bumped your thread that day ? THAT will count as your one bump, so please be aware of this! Extra ?bumps? will be deleted and may well cause your thread to drop off the viewable page.
WE also ask that if you are going to be posting more than 1 item ? keep ALL of your items on a SINGLE thread. Do not post individual threads for each item. They WILL be combined (and will make a mess of your thread) going forward and if it continues to be an abuse, we reserve the right to delete the additional threads.
We ask that you be considerate of these rules as we have them for a reason and would like as many threads as possible to revolve through the limited space in the Marketplace so they can ALL be viewed on the first page during the course of the day/s they are posted.
