I'm having trouble accessing my controller outside of my network. My IP addressed changed and when I put that number into my iPhone, it doesn't link anymore. I have the Aquanotes app for my phone. I had my cousin set it up the first time because I'm not great with computers. Can someone help me out.

I would just setup a dynamic dns so when your ip changes it updates. I used no-ip.org and works well. Only thing I haven't figured out is how to get my signuture working but email alerts work.

Is it your router thats changing the IP for the apex or is it because your public IP changes?

My public IP address doesn't change so for me all I had to do was set up the apex for static. Assuming your apex hooks up to your router then all you have to do is go into the apex settings and set it up for a static IP instead of DHCP, set it up for the IP on your router that its assigned to. Then all you have to do is set up your port forewarding in your router settings so that your apex router IP (something like 192.168.1.2) is always open to foreward the information. Its really simple once you do it. If you have a dynamic IP from your ISP then you have more hoops to jump through.
