I have been trying to feed frozen and live food while I am away and I don't want to build a tiny refrigerator over the tank so I started experimenting with pickling the food in alcohol. Many people dose Vodka anyway so I decided to soak the frozen, fresh and live food in Vodka to see if that would preserve the food long enough so that it can automatically be dispensed in the tank.
Part of the experiment was a success. Live blackworms look almost perfect after a week in vodka.
Then I tried to feed the worms to the fish. They ate a few of them after spitting them out a few times and they really don't like it at all. I could tell by the expression on their faces.
But the wierdest thing was that a few minutes after feeding the Vodka soaked worms, most of the fish were lounging on the substrait smoking cigarettes, slurring their words and burping :knockedou
