Well I purchased anitred from the reef to rivers fish store for $17.99 so it better work. If this wont get rid of my cyno...nothing will. On the directions it says YOU must have a skimmer in bold letters....so it looks like ima have to wait untill I get my new mag 7 to try it out

Have you tried Chemi-Clean from Boyd Ent.? Has always worked on red cyno for me, but I also always do a second treatment 48 hrs after the first and hold off on the 20% water change for an additional week.

Yes anti-red fromaqua medic works very well

in extreem cases I had to repeat it once but it alway took care of the problem without killing anything. You have to run it with a skimmer.

red slime remover also worked good for me. the skimmer went crazy had to empty the cup every couple hours.

IMO algae removers are the wrong way to go. You must find the source of the cyano (which is most likely high nutrients) and cut off its food supply i.e. stop feeding, more agressive skimming, increased water changes etc...

This stuff reminds me of that fresh water clearer that would make your fresh water tank crystal clear eventhough the ammonia was off the charts and the tank was milky white

Sometimes you can't get the cyano that is in your tank under control and by using these products you can wipe it out fast and right away.

Alot of tanks that are mature every so often for no reason it seems get cyano, whether it's from introduction new corals or the just things building up over time. Even if you get things under control it's very hard to get rid of the cyano without help from one of these products.

i agree with marrone sometimes u try everything but cant get that last little bit gone. and i tested the water everything was good.
