I am trying to build a 20 gallon sump and I need glass for the dividers.
Any recommendations for glass shops? I'm looking specifically around Staten Island, Manhattan, and Brooklyn.

Thanks!

I was thinking about Lowes but when I went there, they had the window-thin type of glass. Can those be used too?

The thin glass can be used, but if you're a klutz you'll break them sooner or later.

Just google 'glass shop' and call for a price quote. Tell them the sizes you need, and ask them to soften the edges of the pieces. Tell them what you're using the pieces for, and let them know they DON'T need to completely polish the edges. There's no point in paying extra cash for them to grind and polish the edges when they can just hit the edge with sandpaper and be good.

You don't have to use glass in a sump you can use plexiglass i do it all the time and you can drill your own holes. There is a shop on Canal St. and Church in Manhattan that sell it.I think it's called Canal Plastic.
