Any one use the Ushio 20k DE?

Was wondering how it looks on a ice cap ballast..

Not the 20k but I absolutely love Ushio bulbs. Ive used 10k and 14k Ushios on both magnetic ballast and Icecaps. Currently I am using the 14k and they resemble 10k with the slightest hint of blue. Very crisp!! Cant go wrong with Ushios

Really blue, and really low growth. Once I switched to 14k my growth doubled.

If you like Phoenix then you will love the Ushio 14k. I got great color out of it.

i have a 150w one here if that's what you're running. I keep it around as my spare bulb. It's old but still works. you're welcome to try it out.

It's time for a new bulb. I am thinking of switching the 400W 20K from XM to Ushio SE using the e-ballast. I am running 2 400W radium on HQI ballast next to it on each side. I like the blue of the 20K XM. It blends in nicely with the radiums. And sometimes, I just run it by itself particularly in the summer when the temp is too hot to run all 3 bulbs. Should I stick with XM?
