I have one Ice Probe chiller controller (http://www.marinedepot.com/md_viewItem.asp?idproduct=CW1113) that I don't use and don't think I will need (not to mention the fact that I can't figure out how to make it work!).

Since my tank is slightly large for the Ice Probe to really cool the temp down more than a few degrees at most (and it takes a while for this to happen if i don't have it running 24/7) I don't think I need the controller as my heater simply comes on when the temp gets to 76 degrees anyway. It might save me a little cash on the electic bill, but I'm not sure how much of a differance it would really make...

If someone out there cares to trade some LPS or softy frags for it (other than GSP or Xenia, which I just got at the swap)- it's yours! I'd prefer to meet in Manhatten (I live near grand central)for the trade as I do not have a car.

btw- if you know how to make an anemone move and can take one that is lodged in a crevice of the LR- my Condy is free for the taking!

I need ice probe chiller, my nano tank is running 82+ all the time. I want to bring it down to 80 atleast. How is this thing works? I see Thermal Electric Ice Probe Water Chiller on ebay for $40 but it doesn't come with power supply doesn't come with it. If I buy controller from you, and get that $40 chiller, is that going to work? Is your controller comes with power supply? If you want to sell it, how much?

Will frogspawn kill/sting everything near it, or will it be alright around, say, a torch coral (I know they are all in the same family)? I'll have to think about it a little when I get back and look at my tank- if i do plan on adding frogspawn its going to have to take up a good portion of my tank as I won't be able to keep anything close to it... I will send you a PM once I decide!

The torch is more likely to sting the frogspawn. I've kept both intermingling amongst each other, but every few weeks, the torch sent a sweeper to "say hello" to a froggie polyp. :irked:

Luckily, there was never any permanent damage.

Savager- you don't need the controller to run the chiller. The chiller itself will probably run you over $100- take a look on www.marinedepot.com. The contoller basically turns off/on the unit if a certain temp is reached (say on at 76, off under 76)- otherwise the chiller will stay on 24/7.

Deanos- can you take a look at my tank and see if Frogspawn would do alright at the top middle, or right hand side (opposite side than the gsp, xenia)? I'm going to start adding carbon to my tank so I'm not going to have to be as worried about the "allelopathic chemical concentrations " if sweeper wars happen, but still would like to add various corals to the tank elsewhere! Thanks.

Thanks deanos- sent you a PM, I meant to look at my tank online! Just goes to show how far people will go to help on this forum :) I don't get off work until later and wouldn't want you to wait (btw- do you work in the markets? I used to and loved getting out at 4 when everything closes for the day).

btw- just realized that there is a forum for buying/selling, sorry I posted in the wrong area!

Nice- I'm thinking on the right hand side.

Anyone have a suggestion for a tall LPS or softie that would fit on the top center rock in the back as a centerpiece for the tank at some point. Remember that this is a 16g tank!

Thanks Deanos!
