My return pump is on its last leg, the flow rate is less than half. So I ordered a new Jebao DCP-4000 pump and need help installing it. Two things that stress me out- high voltage and plumbing. LOL. I want to put in PVC pipe instead of tubing with a union and cutoff valves. Nothing fancy, maybe plumb in a second output for a UV sterilizer?

I may have to bite the bullet and do it myself. Thankfully YouTube is a thing now! (Back when I started in this hobby we didn’t even have access to any good books!)

Where you located?

How do I ensure the return pump is level when cutting the PVC for height? Probably a really stupid question with a common sense answer…

I need to replace the current pump ASAP, so may have to use existing hose until I can do it right. I want to add unions, check valves and cut off valves. Need to make a parts list…

Ended up replacing the pump using existing tubing. Took about 3 hours because I ended up having to move the sump! Ugh. Still want to have it plumbed using PVC…

I just measured everything out and use unions everywhere. The unions allow you to take everything apart is small sections. Easy maintenance especially in tight places
