where can i get more info on this mod?

I really dont feel the gate is necessary on this skimmer, the height is pretty easy to adjust as well acurate with the stock pipe. As long as your sump is fairly stable in depth (using a ato, or have baffles set up to ensure this, than water height in skimmer will be stable.

Here is a site that sells a kit to do it. Im sure you can get it cheaper, but for me it was just easier to get it all rather than drive around and look through home depot. If you look around on internet there are tons of sites with info and walk throughs to do it

the other plus about this mod is that it allows you to direct where the resulting water goes instead of just bubbling over the riser tube.
