I'm in the process of cycling a new 72 bow front tank. I bought 100 lbs. of choice live rock from HOF. It is awesome! Thanks. The tank has been up for a week. Still no readings for a cycle. Everything is good. I have some interesting growth on the live rock. I also have a cool tiny white starfish running around. I'd love for someone to come by and help me identify it, and help with advice. I don't want to screw this up. If you are local (Manhattan), I will gladly pick you up, and drop you off. Any takers?

Asterina sp. are likely the starfish.

im pretty sure there a few diff species making them a possible pest.. i have some but they dont bother anything...

do they have weird shaped legs that are not the even 5 legged star shape?

Jesse, Good luck with your new tank. If you got the rocks from Jim and Russ (HOF) I'm sure the starfish is reef safe. Jim's tanks are very clean. But it can't hurt to post a pic to be safe.
