Free now. I pulled it out of my frag tank and put it in the sump, in doing so some of the fine mesh net got caught on it's top and bottom spikey fins. I cut the net so he's swimming around with little tufts of it now. I'm sure it can pull off, I don't want to stress him any more though. First person to pick up tomorrow can have him. Otherwise tuesday AM he goes to the store.

Can be. Lots of people keep them in reefs without issue. I don't think it's a sure thing though. I only had it in my frag tank, wouldn't trust one in the DT with my Christmas Tree worms. But otherwise I'd have one in there.
