are all nets created the same?

is there a net that is better then others? what should i look for? i try to cup my fish out in a container when i can, but if it is medicated water, i need to net it out.

Cup it while it is in medicated water, pour the fish-in-cup thru any old net (just make sure there is no big holes), and put the fish-in-net to anywhere you want.

does it matter if i get extra fine, fine, or couse mesh? any differences in material, i notice some are softer then others? does the color of the net matter?

Depends on what you want to do with the net. If you want to catch isopods, obviously you should use fine mesh. Color is for you to see the net, but you may want it to be as noticeable to the thing that you want to catch. Softer fabric is safer, but for a heavy shark, you may not have a choice. Same for size of the net, but I feel I am just talking thing that everyone knows.

Again, depends on what you do, everything is just a compromise of one way or the other.

Try to use a soft coarse mesh net most of the time, fine mesh nets tend to snag caudal and pectoral spines and gills.
