ATI 48" 6 Bulb GREAT PRICE!

I ordered new lights for my tank going back to halides so for sale is my 48 in 6 bulb ATI. This is the non-dimmable version overall it's in very good shape the bulbs are less than 6 months the ballast have been replaced the fans work fine.

The only issue are the reflectors are a little tarnished but do not affect performance whatsoever.

$200 takes it priced to sell pick up in Huntington will not be available until next week.

PayPal to hold.

From a physics standpoint the above is impossible. I?m not one to be that guy on a thread but the above should be re-worded as it is misleading. Part of what makes this fixture better than similar fixtures is that ATI uses amazing reflectors. Tarnished reflectors don?t reflect as much light. Depending on how bad the pitting / tarnishing is, it could greatly reduce the output of the light.

On the upside someone could replace the reflectors by reaching out to ATI. Perhaps including a photo of the tarnished spots would help with the sale. In my mind the entire reflector is tarnished, but maybe it?s a few spots or what you call tarnish I?d call perfect condition.

My post says slightly tarnished the light works just fine and throws off a ton of par I'd be happy to test it out and show anybody the par levels that it is getting I appreciate your comments but $200 for a 6 bulb 48 in ATI light is a great Price. If the reflectors were in mint condition myself price would reflect that no pun intended.

I will get some pictures up tomorrow.

Here are a few pictures. There's just some discoloration on the reflectors they still work absolutely fine.

Just trying to help out someone who might not know better, those reflectors look like mirrors when you get it new. Your reflectors don't look like mirrors.

See below, this is what severely damaged reflectors look like (taken from the ATI site).

Again just trying to save everyone time by helping you be as clear as possible about the condition of the item for sale.

Wow...ive seen it all mike.

Frits- do you work for carfax or the bbb? It?s a used item for sale, adults here can determine themselves if they want it and what it?s worth.

Not sure acting judge, jury and executioner on people?s posts, just because, is something that would be beneficial.

OK I'm the bad guy in this thread. Buyer beware I guess. I thought this was more of a community, I guess it used to be. I think I offered up some really constructive criticism and tried to push this in the right direction. The lack of a community here is where this site I think has fallen off in the last decade to other more Community Feeling forums. As this went off the rails, here's the reality below.

As someone who has run all of these lights for years: Your light looks like it fell in the water. I've owned the Sunpower, dimmable sunpower and the power modules. I've never had pitting or tarnishing on any of them. It just isn't possible to have that unless you run them without the shield. It is an extremely BAD idea to run them without the shield as the shield is part of the cooling system. Running it without the shield will kill the ballasts and quickly. This appears to be an extremely poorly taken care of piece of equipment being passed off as being in great condition. If you believe the condition of those reflectors doesn't effect the par output you have a poor understanding of how lighting works or maybe you're an honest guy who was swindled by the person who sold it to you.

On that note, I'm out.

You're making it like I'm trying to get over on somebody. What I did was post a very good price on a very good light if somebody wanted to buy this light they would have at least six months left on the bulbs which would be a good start to get them going and they could easily order new reflectors if they wanted through ATI and still wind up with an excellent light for much less than a new one would cost them so I don't really know what your issues are posting all over my for sale thread I never advertised it as Mint Condition nor does the sale price reflect it being Mint Condition thank you for your input
