I'm in the market for a auto top off. I was looking to hook it up directly to my RO/DI unit. Does anyone have any recommendations? I was looking at the tunze. It seems very well put together. Just looking for any first hand experience. Horror stories, tips.

Thanks,

Rob

So much for the thought of a direct hook up. I've been using a 30 gallon garbage pale filling it with tap water and using prime. I would let it sit with several powerhead moving the water for a least a week before use. I've had no problems with this. But I decided to buy a ro/di unit before my luck ran out.

Any recommended brand of auto top off units?

Save your pennies and get a litermeter. I have to say it's the best thing I ever purchased for my reef.

They're a couple o hundred, but if you keep your eyes open you can get a used one for half that.

Another route would be a top off switch and a powerhead setup. I think its www.autotopoff.com I could be wrong. I'm sure dean knows.
