Bad contact on MH fixture

Its a 36" Aquamedic, 2x250 MH and 2 t5's.

I was replacing the MH bulbs and noticed that one of the contacts on the right side was corroded to the point where the bulb wouldnt stay up inthe fixture.

I am running on one bulb now... not happy!

Can i replace the contact, or do i need a whole new light???

if it's a DE, you can replace the socket - call aquatinics and ask them to ship you a new socket.

House, are you familiar with these Aquamedic fixtures? I just got a $60 est for a Aquamedic replacemnet socket and reeflighting.com has a DE HQI 250w socket for $12.. Im still waiting on a call back from aquanitics..


Do i need a Aquamedic socket or can i use any socket??

any socket will do... I just replaced mine but it was a SE...
