banggai cardinal not eating

Banggai Babies~~~~

I bought a pair of banggai from divers den on la a few weeks ago. They were eating everything I threw in the tank. The larger stopped eating a week ago. I feed Hikari mysis, Hikari brine shrimp with spirulina, cyclopeeze, and lrs, on alternating days. Anyone else have a banggai that stopped eating? Any hints on what else I can try?

Mine went a week or so without eating, that i could see, and now completely back to normal. I feed msysis,pellets, new era pellets, lg mysis which the cardinal goes njts for, and the m f'er ate a tiny clownfish not that long ago. I posted a pic here

if its a mated pair, they probably mated and the male is holding the eggs; therefore it won't eat for at least 2 wks.

I did buy them as bonded pair from la. But I haven't seen any eggs in the mouth. Plus it is the larger banggai. The smaller one still feeds aggressively.

Larger fish is the male. Male holds eggs and then babies in it's mouth. He may eat the eggs if he isnt full enough to go the full period of raising the babies

Crazy I only had these guys for a few weeks. Worried over nothing. lol

Woot, I was able to save 2 so far and put them in my sump. Probably not going to make it but these guys are so cute. I wonder if my refugium pods can support the fry.
