Mike your tank is very beautiful and healthy. It is only missing one thing--sand :)

lol ;) I leave that for the experts :teeth:

But seriously I think is helps with maintenance and flow the most.
I have seen allot of great sps tanks with sand I just chose to do it this way:thrash:

Please dont hate me for not having sand :frown: lol

To be honest Duke I don't care if you have sand or not get what you like its your tank and both can work ;) Im not on some sort of crusade:tank:

Its almost as childish as arguing over LEDs & T5 :letitallo

Happy Reefing!

My next tank going to use PVC for holding and structure LR above glass bottom so current goes under LR. About 1/2" so basically you won't see much of bottom of tank. No sand and no starboard for me. My upgrade hopefully start when kids go back to school.

I don't criticize anyone for making well considered choices that work for their system and habits. There are many ways to run a successful tank and many ways to screw one up using the same exact approach. All approaches have their strengths and weaknesses and if you understand these and adjust accordingly you can have outstanding success using all of them.
