Hey guys.. This may sound like a dumb question, but is there a baseplate for the mag 9.5? I'm using It as my return pump and It keeps falling over with the weight of my return piping on it. I tried the baseplate from the mag 7 but no go...
Most of the pics I see show the 9.5 laying on the broad side, but this configuration means using a 90deg fitting right off the output...
Any ideas?

...not a guy but I'll answer you anyway :flirt:
No, the 9.5 doesn't have a base plate.
Frequently they are hooked up using that 90 degree fitting and I assume your concern is the loss of head pressure by starting off with that fitting? That should not worry you too much because you really don't want a large amount of flow through your sump anyway as it increases your evaporation rate and less contact time in your skimmer chamber. Higher flow only need be confined to the DT where it is more important, so don't worry too much about the extra fitting, it does make the pump easier to install :)

btw - don't forget that you do want to include a union above the pump in the event you ever have to change it due to a malfunction...but I'm sure you already knew that :)

Thanks! Yep, I've got a true union ball valve on the return line. I figured out a way to support the plumbing keeping it straight up. I also put some rubber feet on it to quiet down some vibration. The pump is pushing up almost 4 feet and there is a 90 at the top already, so I didn't want to lose too much more pressure. If it flows too much I'll add another 90 up top and bring the locline into the tank a little more.
Thanks for your help though.
