What light T5 or MH would be the best for a 36"x36"x25" cube.

I'm planning on keeping some SPS but mostly LPS and zoas. I have about 10-12" canopy above the rim of the tank to work with. My main concern is I don't want any dead spots in the tank so I want every spot in the tank to get light coverage.

I'm leaning towards MH as one pendant but not sure which reflector will provide teh full 36x36" coverage , and I would not want it to look like a spotlight effect.

I agree with Rick, you can do either or I have my cube that same measurements with just a pendant with leds attached for moonlights. I am currently using a 250w SE but will change to a 400w down the road

yes the 8 would but id probably go ahead and go with the 10 bulb at that point, im a t5 fan myself, but also take into consideration when it is time to change bulbs your changing 8-10 bulbs compared to 1 400w mh and a 8-10 bulb isnt going to be much different in electricity

you got a very good point on the bulb change. huge price difference there. the issue w/ MH is it seems like it doesnt cover the entire 36x36 tank and looks more like a spotlight focusing the center of the tank.
