Best powerhead for a 30 cube

depends on what you plan to keep in the tank. if only. but i would go with the tunze nano 6025's

What are you trying to keep in the tank? Two tunze 6025s might be way too much for a softie LPS tank, yet it might be JUST enough for a SPS tank.

Whats your return pump? Also what type of 30g do you have, a cube or a AGA tank?
If you're return isnt to strong, i'd go with a Korolia #2 or #3 or a tunze nano 6025 and you should be good for LPS.
On my 40g BR(36 x 18in) I'm using a single Korolia #3 and I took off my Nano 6025 cause it was way to much for the LPS in the tank. PUt in a tiny aquaclear 201 and it's perfect.

i have a 30 oceanic cube and yeah i totally wish i could have a vortech, but i found the flow hard to create without koralias or tunzes ... tunzes are too expensive for me .... i tried a modded MJ400 and that flow was AMAZING and bounced all over the tank, but too much flow for a non-sps tank ...i have a 1200 low down in the tank, shooting through a cave to the front wall and a mag 7 return at the top, the surface movement is great and the flow is random .... a 20x20 footprint is cool, but it is kinda hard to get right IMO ... we'll see as i keep adding stuff, what does well where ... i still have an unhappy colt coral which did its best in a tank with hardly any flow for some reason
