Best way to heat a large reef?

Looking for the best way to heat my reef. It is a 325 with a 180 sump and a 30 frag tank. I currently use a couple of "cheapy" 300w, 150w, and 50w heaters. The sump is located in the garage. The temp changes 3-5 degrees per day. I am concerned that "cheap" heaters will fail and leak current.

I would like to go with the inline type but they are too expensive for me. I am thinking of using the titanium heaters with seperate controller. I do not know what brands are the best, how many heaters can be controlled by 1 controller or if they all have seperate ones.

I have a 72 bow but I use two 300 watt marine land visitherm heaters.

Room temp.. 500 watt titaniums heaters, but they need a hddc4 each.. Make sure they are on a separate line each also and things should be fine.. I say about 3 hddc4 will be needed for the controller..

Take a look at the Fluval E series heaters. They are microprocessor controlled and less likely to fail. They are also pretty reasonably priced.

I have 2-1000w and my tank is in a office with no heat at nights,weekends and no problem with temp swing

Direct connect heavy duty for the aqua controller.. It has 4 outlets on it for heavy duty items like ice ballast and large heaters otherwise the heaters will just keep burning out outlets..

I would look for something like a couple of the Blue Line Biotherm 500 watt Titanium Heating Element and a dual ranco controller (you add the cords) or the completed pre-wired unit.

mutiple heaters might be better incase one malfuctions. personally I had bad experience with titanium heaters.

i am using the blue line 1000w titanium heating elements on controllers and so far they are working well. Very heavy duty looking.
