i am cleaning my canopy today and a lot of stuff has salt creep that is caked on. i seem to be able to remove it from the vho bulbs but not the aluminum reflectors, i can remove the major chunks but it still leaves stains on the reflector. is there any thing i can use to clean this up to make the reflector shiney again? of course it will need to be reef safe.

Vinegar works pretty good in cleaning up a lot of stuff. - When the outside tank glass gets gunked with something that doesn't want to come off with lots of elbow grease, out comes the vinegar...

Yup, $0.88 bottle of vinegar is a wonder for tank cleaning. Just not in the water.
