Big Black Crab!

So I almost pooped my pants when his huge black crab scurried off a rock in a tank I drained last night. He's very glossy almost like black granite. Completely black on top but white and black underneath like a spotted leopard. His body is long and oval shaped, about 2" wide. Very large claws and he's almost 4" when fully extended! I'll try a pic but any guesses?

sounds like a gorilla crab

I did a little research and it points to being a large black mithryx crab.
