My Blue Hippo tang has outgrown my 5 foot, 120 gallon reef. He just hangs out in the corner and generally looks cranky. Occasionally he bolts to the other end of the tank, runs into things, occasionally breaks corals, and bruises his head. Silly not-so-little-guy. Still eats plenty though. He's about 8" now and has a beer belly. I got him around the size of a quarter 3 years ago.

He's not aggressive at all but will defend himself if someone takes a poke at him. Given his size, that's not often.

One big caveat to this fish though - I've seen him eat zoanthids and palythoas. He wiped out a couple small frags. So there's that. Buyer beware.

Anyway, given all that I'd like to give him away to someone who meets the following criteria:

Big tank. 200g+

Willing to QT him for a few weeks. I haven't seen any disease at all, in any of my fish, but I don't want the responsibility of introducing disease into your tank. So let him chill out in a QT for a bit and heal up and get happy while you keep an eye on him.

I don't have a car and I live on the Upper East Side. Going to say this is a pick up only deal.

This is contingent on my being able to catch him, but he's big enough where I think I can. Obviously once we work out a pick up day and time, I'll go swimming and get him ready to go.

Sorry about the delay with replies...I haven't had internet access for a few days. Stupid Time Warner.

Unfortunately this fish died. I don't really know why. Maybe he was sick and it wasn't the size problem, maybe one of the bruises he gave himself got infected. I don't know. Was awful removing him from the tank after he was gone. I don't think I'll ever keep another. BAH
