Okay, so today I upgraded my 29g to a 72g and I'm beat. But my mind is racing about what I can now add to my tank - not immediately, of course. Overtime and slowly, but still...the possibilities. I'm getting a Kole Tang from House of Laughter, so that'll be an addition in the near future. Now...

I currently have:
2 Clowns (Buffy and Riley)
Sixline Wrasse (Xander)
Bicolor Blenny (Giles)
Coral Beauty (Willow)
pending - Kole Tang (no name yet...but probably Anya!)

Anyway, I'm thinking about the following - what do you think about the fish and if I can actually keep them all happy in one tank:

1 Bangaii Cardinal
1 Pajama Cardinal
Yellow Tang
and/or
Blue Tang
a Blenny to stir up sand (suggestions for what kind?)

If you choose fish that get along with each other, and don't get too large, then it simply becomes a water quality issue (HUGE skimmer = more fish!)

do you mean a goby to stir up sand?

i have a bangaii cardinal i've had for years. his name is mr personality because he has none. his cool party trick is that he will eat 2 or 3 live minnows when we feed our lion. he is the most boring fish i have ever had and would not recommend one (ie - do you want mine?)

the only thing i would say to you is that if you choose to put in more than one tang do it simultaneously.

Well, my two crazy Peppermints are Darla and Druscilla. If there's a Blenny he'll be Wesley (the Buffy Wesley, not Angel Wesley, who was a different man altogether.)

Yeah, Riley. I loved Angel, but I don't think he and Buffy belonged together. For all the reasons the shows (both of them) went over. I think she would have been happy with Riley if only she hadn't screwed it up and Joss Whedon had any idea of what to do with him once the Initiative went belly up. Besides, with the dominant female and a less powerful male it's gotta be Riley! He was strong, but not as strong as she was!

Now, back to fish. Would a Fairy Wrasse get along with the Sixline? I'm not that crazy about Chromis; they're just not colorful enough for me!

Hmm....Chromis. But you gotta get a bunch of them, right? Wouldn't a "school" of them take up the space of, like, 3 bigger fish? Or did I read somewhere that more smaller fish produce less waste than fewer bigger fish... I guess the Blue/Green Chromis are the most common?

The Blue Reef Chromis are really cool. Mine liked to school together and were colorful. The pajama cardinal fish are interesting to look at but are kind of boring. No personality at all. At least mine didn't have any.

my banggai cardinal just stays out and does nothing (except when he ate one of my cleaner shrimp). If you want him, you can have him (if i can catch him). What's nice is that he is always out in the open and doesnt hide at all, but thats about it. oh, and it is also a very pretty fish.

You're the second person to offer me a Bangaii Cardinal! If you were getting rid of a PJ, I'd take him. I realize they don't do anything, but they do look cool and as long as they're hanging about out in the open...I think it's ok. But I woudn't want him to eat my cleaner shrimp!

The more I think about Chromis the more I'm into them. How many should I get? Odd or even number? I haven't seen my Bicolor Blenny and Sixline Wrasse since I put them into the tank...so I might have more room than I thought!
